R & W was right there for me when I needed work done on my boiler. Come to find out it was another problem with the first floor heating pipes running to my baseboards. They came 3 times even on a Saturday. They made it a priority. This was a problem they have only seen once in 30 years. The techs were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Also want to shout out Brandy who was also very friendly and very patience with me and all my questions. Made sure I was taken care of. Overall you need something done this company is the one. Great customer service. Great overall service!!!

We have been customers of R&W since 2014. They did our orig. installation of heating and cooling systems, and have done yearly maint. on both, since installed. As a result our equip runs good. The Tech's are courteous and prompt, and do their work in a professional manner. Once or twice, we had to call for serviceand always got a prompt response. The office is good to talk too, and answers whatever questions we have. I would recommend them highly.

The office staff is always helpful. The technicians are friendly and communicate any concerns that should arise. I recently had my oil furnace serviced by Domenic and he was professional and answered all my questions and concerns. I have been using R&W for many years. They maintained my very old oil furnace for years before replacing it with a new one in 2020. They also replaced and installed a new oil tank in 2018 where Rick gave me a list of options with pros/cons to each oil tank so I could make the most informed decision based on my specific needs. Anytime I've called in an emergency situation they respond immediately! Depending on your specific issue they will try to trouble shoot with you on the phone before coming out for a emergency visit-which is greatly appreciated.

Top notch work and service. We had a pinhole leak in our oil tank. R&W came out immediately to replace it. We decided that this was the universe telling us it was time to replace our 28 year old furnace as well. Dakota and his team did a great job and got the furnace installed in one day. The inspector found one small problem with a pipe support. Dakota came out on Saturday and corrected it in 10 minutes. I also commend the office team that helped us through the proposal and contracting process. Dakota also clearly explained the new features of the furnace. Highly recommended.

New to R & W since they recently took over brunelli's service calls. What an amazing first experience for what was a frustrating day. Long story short, our oil tank started leaking due to it being very old. They came out, took a look. Super kind, professional, explained everything. The day after we filled our oil tank, it sprung a leak. We called R&W Heating and they sent someone out within 30 minutes. That was on Wednesday and by Friday they had pumped out the 275 gallons of oil, dismantled the 60 year old tank, and replaced it and all of the accompanying piping, removed all of the debris, filled the new tank, cleaned the surrounding area and did a totally amazing job!

We have been with R&W Heating for several years now for maintenance on our HVAC system, and their service has always been consistently excellent. A couple of years ago, we chose them to replace our 13‑year‑old Viessmann boiler, and once again the work was done flawlessly.This spring, we needed to replace our AC unit, including the Unico air handler. The installation was, as expected, highly professional. But because it was such a cool spring, we didn’t actually run the AC until a hot weekend well into June. When we finally turned it on, it was loud—so loud that living near train tracks, we honestly thought a train was coming.We contacted R&W, and they immediately sent a technician. He determined that the installation needed to be redone and ordered replacement parts. A few weeks later, the team returned and replaced the entire installation—all of it—at no charge.You naturally think highly of your HVAC contractor when everything works perfectly and your system runs smoothly. But you truly learn how good a company is when something goes wrong. R&W gets our highest possible rating. They are a company that makes sure their work is done right and that their clients are fully satisfied.

R&W’s owners, techs and office staff just got us through one of the most frightening furnace failures in our lives. Not only were they upfront, honest and full of all of the information and options that we needed to make our decisions, they met or exceeded everything they promised, from lead time to support after the sale. Every question I had was answered, every time our situation changed we were Encouraged to keep them apprised, and when we all realized that the situation was dire, they shifted gears and expedited a full gas boiler replacement in days (not weeks), in the middle of the coldest snap of the cold snap of ‘26. Yes, it was expensive - but they work with a bank to finance and in the end, ‘you get what you pay for’ - which for us is a quality engineered machine, installed properly by top notch professionals, supported by a kind, knowledgeable staff and owners with integrity. We’ll pay for that. Every. Time.

I had a zone that went out during a cold snap this past weekend. I had to call the emergency service number around midnight on a Friday. I spoke with Henry, a lead tech, who helped me diagnose the issue over the phone and gave me some tips on how to troubleshoot the issue. Henry called me back the following morning to see if the issue was resolved. He was extremely helpful and saved me hundreds of dollars. I would highly recommend this company due to their customer service and expertise!!

This company is amazing. I find them to be upfront and transparent about costs - so you’re never left with a surprise. As well, everyone is kind and patient, including technicians and office staff. I can’t stress enough how easy they are to work with. I’m the type that asks a lot of questions (sometimes the same question twice). No matter which person has come to my house, they are always patient - never in a rush to get to the next call or unfriendly. Honestly, I get the sense that they genuinely care about their customers - which is pretty rare in this time.I can’t recommend them enough.

Worst experience ever. Had them come on several different occasions and each time they either did a half ass job or said they fixed something they really didn't. We called because the furnace was turning on and off. The first guy billed for repairs and maintenance that never got perfromed. Another guy left a hose disconnected that leaked water all over the floor because he was in a big hurry to leave. We could hear him complaining and swearing on the phone to whoever. The last person said it was fixed and we were still having the same problems the very next day. I would not recommend, especially if you are an older person because they will take advantage of you. Why my parent called them back after those first few experiences is beyond me. I personally wouldn't have gone back after that first incident.

I was greeted by a friendly, reassuring voice from Brandy, followed by Jessica, who listened carefully as I explained the situation.They initially scheduled service for the following day, but to my surprise, Jessica called back shortly after to let me know they could get someone out the same day. Our heater completely broke 2 days before Christmas! R&W came to the rescue despite having never been a customer before. They were recommended to us and they did not disappoint! They came out on Christmas Eve to figure out the heater was cracked. They ordered the unit and as soon at in came in they installed on New Year's eve! They were fantastic to work with...the install staff were super kind and a delight to work with. We are so happy that we replaced both the heater AND AC unit! I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Rick installed and maintained our furnace over 30 years ago, a decade before starting this business. More recently his workers have replaced our furnace and, just days ago, our oil tank. The workers manage tight situations and are always very courteous and respectful. You can count on Rick for sound advice. Best of all, their work is always praised by our town's inspector.

Our AC died in the middle of a brutal heat wave, and initially we scheduled an appointment for service for about a week out, and they put us on the cancellation list in case anything came up sooner. Within hours I had a call back letting me know that a technician was available in our area. He came out and fixed the issue in under an hour! The receptionist was so friendly and helpful, and the technician was knowledgeable and efficient. We will definitely be using this company again for regular service and maintenance.

R & W Heating recently replaced our old 24 year old propane furnace and all associated piping, pumps, and controls with a new Viessmann high efficiency floor standing gas boiler. From start to finish every aspect of the work was professional, courteous, well designed, and done with great skill and attention to detail. The new heating system looks great and the performance is much better and more efficient (95 percent) than the old one. Everyone at R&W Heating was a pleasure to speak to and work with on the project. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. We are very satisfied with our new heating system! Several of our neighbors in our Colchester community have used R&W Heating Energy Solutions for different needs in their homes. Professional, outstanding, honest, and reliable are just a few words to describe my experience with this company. Furnace would not run, had no heat and with two small children it made for a bad situation. Not being a customer, they sent out a tech within 2 hours. Ray met me at my front door with a smile on his face and immediately made me feel calmer about the situation. An hour and a half later, he was leaving and my furnace was back up and running in better condition than before. The price was fair and reasonable. They have my business from here on out, I couldn't have asked for a better experience for an emergency situation. Big kudos to the tech, Ray, he was a breath of fresh air and we hope to see him for our yearly maintenance cleanings.

If I could give a zero I would. Came out and said my furnace was beyond repair. Yes it's old, yes it's been 2 years since they serviced it. They didn't even bother to see what was wrong because it's old and hadn't been serviced in a long time(2 years and they were the ones who serviced it last). Charged me $160 to lie to me. The guy who came out said something different than the office person I just talked to. It took Riley 's 15 minutes and one part to get the furnace going. Shame on R&W for the misinformation. Mind you when I first called them I told them the furnace was old... so why not just tell me then they wouldn't work in it?

Little late on this review, but early enough for those planning on their ac split unit installs for our next summer. One, punctual, two, cost in the budget, and three service. Showed up for estimate. Price was where I expected for a 15k handler and one indoor unit, and three, on time, flawless install. Electrician is separate arrangement, but their recommendation, was spot on. Install was 2021. And if I call Rw , they would be here first since they installed. SE CT, these are your people. Give them a chance, you won't be disappointed.

Seems like they try to upcharge as best they can each time they come out to service your furnace. Keep in mind this part of it was manageable but the last service call they charged me almost 600 bucks for a cleaning... understandably I did make a blunder by not being there the first time so they "had" to come back to do the cleaning which I don't understand because I didn't have any outstanding balances with them and I was a loyal customer to them and when I tried to catch a small break on the price so I didn't pay 600 for a cleaning they acted like it wasn't negotiable... everything is negotiable and they didn't try to see my perspective mind you... I live 3 miles from the store so it's not like they went out of their way exponentially!

I should have read the reviews from this company before hiring them. They overcharged for a replacement part I needed by over $300 (the part costs $129 online, they charged me $475). I will never use this service again, and neither should anyone.
